Mason is ONE! I have been a little sad thinking that my baby is no longer a baby, but I know it will only get better as he gets older! This year has been the best of my life and I can't wait to see what the future holds! Mason had a great birthday and party. All of our family came in and it was such a special time. At one, Mason has 4 teeth and is still just as happy as can be! He started going to a Mother's Day Out program once a week, and so far he has done great. He is not napping there so hopefully that will change! He still takes two naps a day for me, but I think we may be transitioning to one nap a day soon. We can still just put him in his crib for nap time and bed time and he just plays a little and then falls asleep. We gave up bottles cold turkey and he hasn't even missed them! I thought it would be a hard thing to do, but he has been great! He does not like milk, though, so we are working hard on that. He got a lot of fun new toys for his birthday and he loves to play! He really likes cars right now and will make them go all over the house. He even makes a little "vroom" sound when he makes them go! He has had many new foods lately-hot dogs, grilled cheese, mac and cheese, yogurt, and just about every fruit are his favorites right now. He doesn't seem to have any interest in walking by himself yet. He gets really excited and proud of himself when he walks holding on to our hands, but as soon as we let go, he squats down and crawls away. He loves to stand and walk around the furniture, but then he realizes he could get there faster if he just crawled! Oh well, he will figure it out one day! He may look more like me now, but he definitely has his Daddy's personality! He is such a ham and loves it when people are watching him. He loves to dance and entertain and just loves it when the attention is on him! He has brought so much joy to everyone in his life! We are so blessed!

Wow! Only 1 more month until he turns one! He is really cruising now and prefers to be on two feet. He will crawl to where he wants to go and then immediately pull himself up onto two feet. We finally had to lower his crib because he figured out that he can "play" in his crib. We love watching him on the monitor because he walks along his whole crib and has even been falling asleep sitting up! He also figured out how to climb up the stairs. He climbed all the way up and was so proud of himself! We now have to get a gate for the bottom of the stairs. He is babbling more and more now too. We have noticed that when he is happy and wants to play he says "da-da-da" and when he is tired, hungry, or wants to be held he says "ma-ma"! It is pretty cute! He loves playing chase and wrestling with his Daddy and he loves to read books and be held by me. He got one of his top teeth in, so he has 3 teeth now. Matthew says he looks like a can opener!:) I'm sure his other tooth will pop out any day now. He still loves to hear music and dance and it never gets old! I can't believe my baby is almost one!!

He is now in the double digits! This month has been an adventure since he is crawling everywhere now! He loves to follow you around the house and get into all the drawers and cabinets. He loves handles and door knobs, so he loves to try to figure out how to get them open. He is starting to pull up and has also started "walking" if we are holding his hands. His poor shins and feet are constantly bruised from crawling on the carpet and tile. I think he is the cutest thing when he crawls! He loves to play "chase" and when he sees us coming, he turns and crawls the other direction. He has recently started loving to dance whenever he hears any type of music. He will stop whatever he is doing and move his head and wave his arms. He still sleeps 12 hours a night and takes 2 naps a day. He is learning to feed himself and getting better at actually picking up the food and getting it into his mouth. He loves his sippy cup, but especially loves to drink from my cup. He has been extra snuggly lately too, which I absolutely love! We are so blessed to have such a happy little boy!

What a big boy we have! Mason is still off the charts on height and is in the 50th %tile in weight. He didn't have to get any shots this visit, but did have to have his finger pricked to get blood drawn. He didn't cry but was sure giving the nurse some death stares! He is now getting on all fours and rocking so I'm sure it won't be long before he is crawling. He is pulling up on the furniture and loves to stand up. He figures out how to scoot places so I know it won't be long before he will be everywhere! He is taking his sippy cup great and starting to feed himself some finger foods. He still only has 2 teeth and his drooling has slowed down some (thank goodness!) He is giving open mouth kisses which Matthew and I love! He says ma-ma and da-da a lot and will start waving his arms when he hears music. He still loves to clap and we are trying to get him to wave bye-bye. I have been working with him on baby sign language for a few months and he just signed back "all done" the other day. So maybe he is starting to understand it! We will see if he picks up any other signs soon. Only 3 more months until he is one! I can't believe it!

Mason keeps growing! I can't wait to go back to the doctor next month to get his height and weight. His first tooth is starting to break through so we have had some cranky days. Hopefully his drooling will stop once some teeth come in! He is scooting on his bottom now too, but has no interest in getting on all fours. It is nice to be able to leave him sitting on the floor with toys around, but I know it won't be long before he will be across the room. We need to start babyproofing soon!

Mason is into EVERYTHING right now! He will reach for anything and everything he can get his hands on. I had a hard time keeping him from eating the paper or bear to get this picture! He is sitting better and now is scooting with his arms while on his tummy. He is wearing 12 month clothes and drooling more than ever. We are still waiting on his first tooth to come in. He is growing up so fast and is cuter than ever!!

Our little boy is getting so big! He had to get 3 more shots, but he did really well. Everything is going well and the doctor said to keep doing what we are doing. She said she could see a tooth coming in which explains why he has been drooling and chewing on everything! We can start introducing the sippy cup and move up in foods as well. We go back in 3 months for a check up (and no shots!).

After Mason's first set of shots I was dreading these. Well he surprised us all when the first shot went in and he didn't even flinch! He even gave the nurse a smile! When the second shot went in, he didn't notice either, but when he started feeling the medicine he let out a little wimper and then stopped crying as soon as I picked him up! What a trooper! We'll see what he does at his 6 month shots! We get to try cereal now, but we are waiting until this weekend so that Matthew can be there. Everything else was great at the doctor and we go back in 2 months.

We don't go to the doctor this month, but we weighed Mason on our scale and according to it, he is around 14 pounds! We will go in for his 4 month check up in January and get more accurate results! He is definitely moving around a lot more this month, I had a hard time keeping him still for the picture! I also decided to start taking his picture in his diaper so you all can really see how big he is getting!
